Hauru has grown into an amazing girl dog, a great partner to work and live with, putting all her heart to the task she does. She truly outdid the expectations I had for her and turned out to be a perfect mix of her parents, Jimmy and Abbey.

I am now thrilled to announce our plans for 2026, the first litter in my kennel.
We’re expecting the heat around April. Puppies will be FCI & ISDS registered.

about Trip:

That’s how Lucie, his owner, describes him: “Trip is a very good dog in everyday life. Calm, no issues with other dogs, no resource guarding. At trials and on other trips, he gets along well with everyone, always friendly, and if he simply doesn’t like a dog, he just walks away. He has a great will to please, always wanting to make me happy, and he is very obedient. Trip is my first working border collie, the one I started herding with, and despite that, before his second birthday we were already competing in the open class, and this year, before he even turned four, we made it to the Continental final. Believe me, that’s his achievement, not the handler’s — with my youngsters I can’t even dream of reaching what I did with him.”

I had the chance to meet Trip in person even before breeding plans for Hauru began to take shape, when I went to a herding camp in Pavlinov with Jim. Trip immediately impressed me with how wonderfully he combines stability, calmness, and a “cool head” with tremendous drive for work, determination, and speed. He was completely unproblematic, friendly both towards people and dogs, but above all, deeply devoted to Lucie.

He really is a fantastic dog, and he passes his qualities on to his offspring. I have been lucky to meet several of them in person, and I liked them so much that my decision was made: it had to be Trip, this is exactly the kind of stud dog I was looking for. His offspring show the same determination and passion for work, while always keeping a clear head. They don’t get carried away into excessive arousal, they are not overly reactive in everyday life, and just like their father, they are friendly with both people and animals.

In daily life, Trip helps Lucie and Jakub on the farm with both sheep and cattle. He regularly competes in open class trials with excellent results and ranks among the very top working border collies in the Czech Republic, or even in Europe. He has never trained other sports, but both him and his offspring show a nice set of traits a sport dog should have. They are playing with toys, retrieving, effortlessly moving, and jumping with a good and safe technique. Most of his puppies are herding dogs, though there are also some that are trained in dogfrisbee, search and rescue, nosework, and some that are still growing but already nicely learning the basics of agility. Some of his oldest pups were health tested and each of them has clear results.
