    Father & sons reunion!

I am so excited that I got to meet up with our miniJimmies and more than impressed how similar they are to their father! On 30th December we went for a walk with Drops (GO FOR IT! Zip Zap // Jimmy x Aiky 2021). He grew up into a handsome young man! He grew out his father a bit and it seems that nothing will stop him from being a dogfrisbee star just like Jim;)

He’s a wonderful, driven, very athletic boy. Has wonderful manners in everyday life, though his owners said that he still has some problems with on/off if there are other dogs training next to him. We did a quick frisbee training and it turns out that his jumping technique is outstanding! He also learned flips in like two or three repetitions, he makes them so beautifully! Awesome dog when it comes to tracking the disc, very successful too. Not a sprinter when it comes to retrieval, just as his father was hahah

Then on 2nd January Tomasz and his dogs visited Cracow and it happened that I took care of them when Tomasz went to work. I was very very impressed how well Gauss (GOOD BOY JIMMY Zip Zap // Jimmy x Aiky 2021) is behaving in such a herd. Communicating really well, avoiding conflicts. Of course they quickly became besties with Jimmy – Gauss is definitely his fav son hahaha. A great hugger, always ready to come for some belly rubs. He is also a 1:1 copy of Jim but in tricolor and 2cm smaller! My ideal boy <3 I tried to convince Tomasz to let Gauss stay with me forever but well… I couldn’t. Another wonderful, driven and athletic boy. Master of on/off in every situation. New dogs, people and house didn’t matter for him, he just layed next to me and ignored other dogs and that’s it! I let him catch a disc a few times and I can say that he also has a great technique and amazing physical possibilities. Those fast turns! I am really curious what will the future bring to him!

    LP Wrocław BIS 2022

Another week, another competition behind us. On 3-4.09 we went to Wrocław to compete on a final competition from Flying Dogs 2022 series. This competition was… rather weird but also full of success! Both personal and official ones. Feel invited to see a photo gallery from that weekend (all pictures taken by Tomasz Mońko) and read a few words <3

I was there – again – both as a judge and competitor. A few weeks back I passed an UpDog Head Judge exam with an enormous score of 100% and last weekend I had a pleasure to be a Head Judge of Throw’n’Go lvl 2 and Time Warp lvl 2. It was rather fun. Also I felt like a boss speaking through a microphone and announcing points.

Before I’ll tell you about our scores and performances, let’s start at the beginning. We left Cracow on Friday’s afternoon, went to Wrocław. We arrived about 8 PM and the competition area was already full of tents, there was no room for us. Yet again, like on two earlier competitions, we had amazing time sleeping in the car. I personally love the vibes of camping like this and I wayyy more prefer that than most of hotels.

We began Saturday with my start in Throw’n’Go lvl 1. We did our best score ever but it still wasn’t enough to achieve anything. Better luck next time! Then Jim played with my boyfriend also in TNG1. Can you believed that they placed 23rd among over 200 teams and it was their second start ever? So proud! One or two more catched discs and they could be on the podium! I am really surprised and proud af.

Then there was freestyle, we showed up of course in Level 2. Here is where you can find the video from our performance (click).

I was the happiest person ever while leaving the field. Yeah I fu***d up most throws but it’s not really important! We felt amazing flow together, everything that went bad on FFFF was amazing this time and I am really really content of this performance thus I also have high hopes for MČR next week!

On Sunday we showed up only at Frizgility lvl 2 doing some perfect waves<3 but not scoring really well and then we went back to Cracow. I gave up our second freestyle round so I could be home earlier. I really don’t like and don’t understand the second round “of effect” in UpDog’s freestyle so it wasn’t a hard decision at all to resign from this round.

What is also important to mention – two of Jimmy’s kids debuted on this competition! Both Tarta and Hoodie did great in TNG1 and besides that Hoodie placed 4th!!!!! among 86 teams in TNG2! I am sooo happy! First start and already such a great score. This kid is golden <3

One day after the competition Tarta had her x-rays: HD, ED, OCD free, LTV 0, SP 0 and a heart check – clear. My little miss perfect <3

And this is how that weekend ended. I am full of hope and good energy waiting for next weekend. We plan to show up on our last disc competition this year – Czech Championships!

I think this one is my fav picture of us that was ever taken <3 Or at least my fav from our freestyle photos <3

Fun Factory For Frisbee 2022 / Border Collie Czech Championships

Almost two weeks ago, on 20-21.08 we took part in Czech Championships of Border Collies in dogfrisbee aka. Fun Factory For Frisbee. We have competed in freestyle open, super pro toss&fetch and the quadruped.

I won’t lie saying that we had a lot of bad luck and this was one of the worst, if not THE WORST, competition we ever took part in. Of course organisation and the atmosphere was perfect but…

On Friday, when we arrived Jimmy ran into an electric fence near the playing field. He growled in a such scary way that I thought something really bad happened. Fortunately he was only scared by that, nothing happened to him.

On Saturday the weather was horrible. Freestyle was first – we did quite okay but it wasn’t the best performance we did. Nevertheless the amazing flow we felt while playing together on that field cannot be replaced <3 After freestyle there was The Quadruped. We didn’t go out of the group, there was over 30 women competing! Crazy! The longest throw I made was 45 meters long and Jimmy had 100% execution. Couldn’t be more proud! Then Jimmy did a beautiful pro toss&fetch round with my Dad and they ended up on the second place! And this is where the worst happened – when they were walking back to a tent an accident happen and Jim was bitten by another dog just above his eye. At first it didn’t look very serious but then there was blood, the eye got a bit swollen… We did a t&f round for freestyle with only two discs catched… Maybe he didn’t see them, maybe it hurt him and thus he didn’t catch discs, maybe it’s just a coincidence.

In the morning his eye looked better and we decided to not resign from the second freestyle round. Jim was great, he was trying his best! I was so stressed though that I forgot a routine in the middle of it and made a mess… But I think judges thought it was all well planned and we received some beautiful scores! If only not that eye yesterday on t&f… we could have ended up in top 10 with the best players! I am really really proud. Here is a link to a video from that performance: [click!]

And this is where it ends! A weekend full of emotions and full of bad luck. It’ll be better next time! This weekend we are going to LP Wrocław BIS 22 to show our routine once again this year. And one week later – Czech DiscDog Championships <3
